Dahi Aloo Gravy

Ingredients :

  • 3-4 boiled Potatoes,Cut into Pieces
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1/4 Asafoetida
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 3-4 Dried Red Chilles,Broken
  • 1 inch Ginger,chopped
  • 1 medium Onion,sliced
  • 1 Cup Curd/Yogurt
  • 1 1/2 Cup Water
  • 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turemric Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red chilli Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp Coriander Leaves,Chopped

Method :

  • In a bowl add yogurt and water.Mix well and keep it aside.Then cut each potatoes into pieces.
  • In a pan heat oil. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds. When the seeds crackle, add asafoetida and dry red chillies.Saute for a minute.
  • Add onions to it and saute till onions turn translucent.Add chopped ginger and saute.
  • Then add turmeric powder,red chilli powder,coriander powder and mix well.
  • Add potato pieces and salt. Stir and saute potatoes for 2-3 minutes.
  • Keep the flame low and add yogurt mixutre in the potatoes. Stir quickly and mix well.
  • Let it cook for another 10 minutes or until gravy becomes thick.
  • Turn off flame and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
